Job Description

Join the Inpatient Rehabilitation Department at National Park Medical Center in Hot Springs, Arkansas as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). You will provide compassionate care to patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery, working alongside a dedicated interdisciplinary rehabilitation team. This full-time night shift position offers the opportunity to support patients as they regain strength, mobility, and independence in a collaborative environment focused on delivering high-quality rehabilitative care.

Clinical Setting

National Park Medical Center is a 163-bed hospital and part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network with acute care, rehabilitation, and behavioral health facilities across the country.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to patient assessment by collecting data for analysis by an RN
  • Perform plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care; may administer medication
  • Document patient care provided
  • Assist RN with development of plan of care
  • Assist patients with daily living activities including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation
  • Monitor, document, and communicate patient status and responses to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and family
  • Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient
  • Participate in performance improvement and continuing education
  • Provide quality patient care and work flexible shifts and units as needed
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Schedule

  • Full-time, night shift

Required Qualifications

  • Current state LPN license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire

Certifications Required Within 90 Days of Hire

  • ACLS certification
  • PALS certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of experience
