Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct healthcare to clients with addictions and behavioral health issues. You will work independently while adhering to physician orders, medication protocols, and treatment plans, maintaining safe practice standards in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and effective patient care using clinical judgment
• Adhere to physician orders regarding medications and treatments
• Maintain timely and complete medical record documentation
• Communicate patient progress and needs orally and in writing
• Collaborate with Behavioral Health Technicians and assist with their duties as needed
• Participate in the peer review process
• Maintain strict client confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
• Be available on call for patients and staff
• Follow facility policies, procedures, state and federal law, and Joint Commission regulations and standards

Required Qualifications

• Active Indiana LPN license with no stipulations, obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
• Minimum one year of prior experience as an LPN
• BLS certification obtained within one month prior to hire
• Ability to maintain strict client confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
• Ability to work as a member of a team
• Professional appearance, aptitude, and attitude
• Impeccable ethics, integrity, and customer relations skills
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
• Computer literacy and ability to use an electronic medical record (EMR)
• Knowledge of best practices in behavioral medicine treatment delivery and methodologies
• Sound clinical judgment and decision-making skills
• Ability to understand the requirements of the clientele

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior hospital experience
• Prior behavioral health experience
