Harry Meyering Center is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing care and support to adults with disabilities living in homes throughout the Mankato area. In this role, you will help individuals stay healthy, independent, and connected to their community while working in a respectful, person-centered manner.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care and support to individuals in their homes and in the community
  • Administer medications and treatments according to each person's care plan
  • Track and report any medication errors
  • Train and coach direct support staff on medication administration, CPR, and recognizing signs of illness
  • Keep medical records complete, accurate, and up to date
  • Communicate with physicians and other healthcare providers to relay updates, request orders, and clarify information when needed
  • Provide hands-on direct care when needed, including assistance with daily activities, home tasks, and medication administration

Required Qualifications

  • Current Minnesota LPN license in good standing
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a driving record check
  • Ability to pass the Minnesota Department of Human Services Background Study

Preferred Qualifications

  • Comfort with basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to learn digital charting tools
  • Experience in home and community-based services or a similar care setting

Schedule

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • No on-call duties, no scheduled weekends or overnights
  • Some schedule flexibility available if needed

Compensation and Benefits

  • $27.00 to $30.00 per hour, based on experience
