Harry Meyering Center is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing care and support to adults with disabilities living in homes throughout the Faribault area. This full-time position offers a routine Monday through Friday schedule with no weekend or overnight shifts, allowing you to support individuals in staying healthy, independent, and connected to their community.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care and support to individuals in their homes and in the community in a respectful, person-centered way
- Administer medications and treatments per each person's care plan, and track and report any medication errors
- Train and coach direct support staff on medication administration, CPR, and recognizing signs of illness
- Keep medical records complete, accurate, and up to date
- Communicate with physicians and other healthcare providers to relay updates, request orders, and get clarification when needed
- Respond to occasional on-call needs, primarily by phone—on-site visits are rare
- Step in for hands-on direct care when needed, including help with daily activities, home tasks, and medication administration
Required Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Minnesota LPN license
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass a driving record check
- Ability to pass the Minnesota Department of Human Services Background Study
Preferred Qualifications
- Comfort with basic computer programs (Microsoft Office) and willingness to learn digital charting tools
- Experience in home and community-based services or a similar care setting
Schedule
Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with some flexibility if needed. No scheduled weekends or overnights. On-call rotation included, but on-call responses are almost always handled remotely by phone, with in-person visits rarely needed.
Compensation and Benefits
- $27–$30 per hour, based on experience
