Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Full Time OVERNIGHTS

Progressive Directions, Inc. (PDI) is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our nursing team providing care to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Stewart County, Tennessee. This is a full-time overnight position based in Dover, TN.

Clinical Setting

PDI is a Tennessee-based nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will work within residential programs that prioritize person-centered care, dignity, independence, and community inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care as prescribed by treating physicians
• Implement and monitor Individualized Health Care Plans and Medical Crisis Plans
• Assist with daily living activities to promote comfort and independence
• Administer medications safely and maintain accurate records
• Track and document vital signs, seizures, intake/output, bowel/bladder patterns, and other clinical data
• Maintain medical supplies and equipment in clean, working order
• Participate in Annual ISP and Circle of Support meetings to coordinate care
• Accompany individuals to medical appointments and ensure follow-up on referrals, tests, and lab work
• Review and update Medication Administration Records (MARs) and promptly report variances
• Support therapy plans and ensure assistive devices remain safe and functional
• Oversee psychotropic medication documentation and obtain required consents
• Monitor health trends such as weight changes, falls, or seizure activity and report concerns to the Agency Director of Nursing
• Train or mentor new staff members on health-related plans and documentation
• Work closely with physicians, therapists, and direct support staff to provide consistent, person-centered care meeting DDA and PDI standards

Required Qualifications

• Current, active LPN license in good standing issued by the State of Tennessee or by a Nursing Compact state recognized by Tennessee
• Current and valid unrestricted driver's license
• Reliable transportation
• Current BLS Certification
• Satisfactory background check and drug test
• Negative TB test
• Strong attention to detail and professionalism

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities

Schedule

• Full-time overnight position
• Every other weekend off
• Predictable schedule
