Eventide Sheyenne Crossings Care Center in West Fargo, ND is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time position working overnight shifts on an every-third-weekend rotation. This role provides direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting, ensuring the highest standard of care in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Schedule
- Full-time, overnight shift (72 hours per pay period)
- Every third weekend rotation with holiday rotation
- Overnight shift differential: $5 per hour
- Weekend shift differential: $2 per hour
Responsibilities
- Assess residents' needs and health status through physical assessments, observations, and interviews on a continuing basis
- Provide individual attention to encourage residents' ability to maintain or attain the highest physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being
- Observe and follow residents' plans of care, updating and making appropriate changes as necessary, including interdisciplinary care plans, physician orders, and CNA/NA-R care plans
- Administer medications and treatments and monitor both for effectiveness
- Provide direct nursing care to residents according to established nursing policies, procedures, and standards
- Comply with rules and regulations set forth by the Minnesota or North Dakota Department of Health and the Center for Medicare/Medicaid Services
- Provide accurate documentation in residents' electronic medical records according to established nursing policies, procedures, and standards
- Assist in orientation and training of new team members
- Report resident needs, problems, and observations regarding residents' conditions to the Charge Nurse and/or attending physician
- Ensure adequate staffing levels for scheduled shifts and correct inadequate staffing appropriately
- Monitor the activities and functions of subordinate staff, which may include participating in the disciplinary process
- Ensure that work responsibilities of subordinate staff are completed thoroughly and accurately within scheduled shifts and according to established resident care policies, procedures, and standards
- Provide information, education, and support for assigned residents and their families
- Communicate residents' needs to resident care staff in the unit as appropriate
- Interact with physicians and other health care facilities as needed according to residents' needs
- Continually update nursing skills and knowledge by attending in-services, continuing education programs, and staff meetings
- Coordinate and participate in resident care conferences and communicate information effectively to families
- Promptly report any incidents or evidence of abuse, neglect, or violation of residents' rights per policy
- Manage electronic timecard on a daily basis
- Perform other tasks as needed to support quality resident care

Compensation
- Competitive pay range: $29.00 to $32.48 per hour based on qualifications, experience, and location
