Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), full-time 2nd shift

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct, resident-focused care for elder Franciscan sisters in a convent home located in the Cheektowaga area of Buffalo, near Villa Maria College campus.

This is a full-time position on the afternoon shift from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm. The schedule alternates between two weekly patterns:

• Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday
• Week 2: Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Clinical Setting

You will work in a residential convent home providing care to elderly Franciscan sisters. The environment emphasizes quality resident care and meaningful interpersonal interactions within a warm, caring community setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient-centered care to elder Franciscan sisters
• Manage multiple priorities and assist in overseeing Nurse Aides to ensure residents receive the highest quality of care and support
• Distribute medications and maintain narcotic records
• Maintain resident records and perform charting duties
• Assist other nursing staff with resident care activities and related services necessary for the personal needs and comfort of residents
• Work collaboratively with all departments to support the religious life of sisters and contribute to a thriving living and working environment

Required Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in New York, in good standing
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of nursing experience
• Long-term care experience

Compensation

Salary: $25.92 - $36.14 per hour. Wage will be determined based on relevant work experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
