This full-time day position offers Licensed Practical Nurses the opportunity to provide direct clinical care to underserved and vulnerable patient populations in a mission-driven healthcare organization. Working under the supervision of RNs, you will contribute to comprehensive patient assessment, treatment planning, and implementation across both healthcare units and housing settings.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients' physical, psychological, and social dimensions under RN supervision, contributing to individualized treatment planning
  • Implement treatment programs directed by healthcare practitioners, including medication administration and IV therapy (if certified)
  • Perform diagnostic tests according to established protocols and procedures
  • Collaborate in controlled substance counts at the beginning of each shift, adhering to safety techniques and standard precautions
  • Respond to codes or health emergencies within standard guidelines
  • Assist in medical or minor surgical procedures
  • Implement nutrition and therapeutic diet plans
  • Document nursing encounters using SOAP charting
  • Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and other personnel
  • Attend mandatory staff meetings and training sessions
  • Demonstrate commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to policies and procedures

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with one hour lunch break

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse within the state of employment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CPR certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year of clinic experience
