Frostburg Rehab Center is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our skilled nursing team. In this role, you will deliver safe, timely, and effective nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting, working under the direction of an RN or physician. You will be a vital part of our interdisciplinary care team, supporting residents' health, safety, and dignity while maintaining compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, timely, and effective nursing care to residents under the direction of an RN or physician
- Monitor patients' health, administer medications, and provide wound care and other treatments
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans
- Support residents and their families with education, comfort, and reassurance
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with regulatory standards
- Follow the plan of care as developed by the RN staff nurse, MDS Coordinator(s), or RN members of the nursing leadership team
- Observe safety policies and report any safety concerns
- Demonstrate respect of resident rights and dignity
- Fulfill the role of charge nurse when assigned
- Supervise and support Geriatric Nursing Assistants (GNAs) in the delivery of care
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for residents
- Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and HIPAA policies
- Participate in quality assurance activities and staff meetings
Required Qualifications
- Active LPN license in Maryland
- Strong clinical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
