Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

CVS Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide expert patient care and clinical leadership. In this full-time role, you will assess patient needs, develop and implement care plans, administer treatments and medications, collaborate with healthcare teams, and advocate for patients. You will leverage advanced clinical knowledge and critical thinking skills to deliver quality, evidence-based care and contribute to improved patient outcomes.

Schedule

• Full-time position
• Every other weekend

Responsibilities

• Administer oral medications, injections (intramuscular or subcutaneous), intravenous medications, and topical medications
• Analyze complex patient conditions and document pain levels and response to treatments
• Monitor vital signs and record abnormalities or changes in blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and temperature
• Conduct routine assessments including mental health, pain, nutritional, and physical evaluations to determine patient condition and ensure well-being
• Provide community resources to patients regarding medication administration, self-care techniques, and disease management
• Coordinate wound care to determine appropriate interventions and monitoring for healing
• Design medication assessments to evaluate potential side effects and interactions
• Develop mental health assessments to screen for depression and observe mood, behavior, and cognitive abilities
• Document illnesses, medications, allergies, surgeries, and family history in the electronic medical record system

Required Qualifications

• Less than 5 years of work experience
• National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) required
• Basic awareness of problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Basic awareness of digital literacy skills
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology
• Ability to deal tactfully with customers and community
• Ability to handle sensitive information ethically and responsibly
• Ability to consider relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate option
• Ability to function in clinical setting with diverse cultural dynamics of clinical staff and patients

Compensation

• Hourly rate: $24.64 - $53.53
• Eligible for CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program in addition to base pay
• Actual base salary offer depends on experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors
