Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)-Cardiology

Bayview Physicians Group, a multi-specialty outpatient medical practice in Hampton Roads, VA, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the Cardiology team. This full-time position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no nights, weekends, or holidays, providing an opportunity to advance your nursing career in a collaborative, supportive clinical environment.

Clinical Setting

You will work in an outpatient cardiology clinic within a 600-member medical practice. You will collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, registered nurses, and other clinical staff to deliver high-quality patient care and support efficient clinic operations.

Responsibilities

• Respond to patient phone calls and clinical messages, routing to providers as appropriate
• Communicate test results to patients and reinforce updates to their plan of care
• Conduct nurse visits within scope of practice, including patient assessments, medication reconciliation, vital signs, EKGs, and implementation of provider-directed care plans
• Process prescription refill requests
• Complete FMLA, disability, surgical clearance, and other medical forms
• Coordinate outgoing clinical referrals
• Provide patient education and support
• Assist with additional clinical duties as needed

Required Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or valid Compact State license
• Strong foundation in nursing theory and clinical practice
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification (or obtained within 60 days of hire)
• Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive compensation: $24–$34 per hour (actual pay depends on specialty, experience, schedule, and job duties)
