Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide 1:1 nursing support for a student with medical needs in Longmont, CO. This full-time position focuses on hands-on clinical care throughout the school day, including transportation support, for a K-12 student requiring specialized nursing interventions.

Clinical Setting

This is a school-based 1:1 nursing support role serving a single student with complex medical needs during the 2026-2027 school year, including extended school year (ESY) services.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 nursing support to the assigned student throughout the school day
• Perform tracheostomy care, suctioning, and G-tube support
• Assist with safe transfers, including on and off the school bus
• Monitor the student's health status and respond to medical needs as they arise
• Collaborate with school staff and family to ensure continuity of care
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow established care plans
• Support the student's ability to safely access and participate in school activities

Schedule

• Full-time, 5 days per week, 1.0 FTE
• Start date: As soon as possible
• School year: August 2026 through June 2027

Required Qualifications

• Active Colorado State LPN license or Compact Multi-State Nursing License
• Experience with tracheostomy care, G-tube, and suctioning
• Ability to pass fingerprinting and background check

Preferred Qualifications

• Pediatric nursing experience
