As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Accolade Healthcare, you will play a critical role in promoting and restoring patients' health. You will complete the nursing process, collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, and provide physical and psychological support to patients, families, and friends. You will also supervise assigned team members and contribute to maintaining high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Promote patients' health by completing the nursing process and collaborating with the care team
- Identify patient care requirements by establishing personal rapport with patients and their support systems
- Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support
- Promote patient independence by setting care goals, educating patients and families about conditions and medications, and addressing questions and concerns
- Ensure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring health outcomes against goals, and making or recommending necessary adjustments
- Resolve patient problems and needs using multidisciplinary team strategies
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection control policies, medication administration protocols, and controlled substance regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Diploma as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Registry
- Clinical expertise, bedside manner, and infection control knowledge
- Proficiency in administering medication and maintaining health promotion
- Strong teamwork, multitasking, listening, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively promote health and maintain patient care standards
