Licensed Practical Nurse (Local) NHBedford, NH

Ridgewood Center in Bedford, NH is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for a 9-week local contract position in long-term care. This is a full-time role working the first shift (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM), Monday through Friday, with 40 guaranteed hours per week and overtime available.

Clinical Setting

You will provide direct patient care in a long-term care facility, working with residents across various care needs and conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including administering medications, treatments, and documenting care per facility policies
• Perform assessments and report changes in resident conditions to the RN or management
• Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge procedures for residents
• Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and quality standards
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
• Provide emotional support and education to residents and families

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse in long-term care settings
• Active New Hampshire LPN license or compact license
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
• Must live within 70 miles of Bedford, NH and be able to reliably commute to the facility

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of EMR/EHR charting systems
• Familiarity with medication administration protocols

Additional Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Must pass background check, drug screening, and health clearance
• TB test, physical exam, and up-to-date immunizations may be required

Schedule and Compensation

• Start Date: ASAP
• Hours: 40 hours guaranteed per week, Monday – Friday
• Shift: 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
• Pay: $35 per hour with overtime available
