LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE - LIBERTY COMMONS OF ALAMANCE COUNTY

Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time night shift position at Liberty Commons of Alamance County. This role focuses on geriatric nursing in a healthcare and rehabilitation setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in directing nursing services for assigned unit/hall in accordance with the Nursing Practice Act and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
• Delegate duties to professional nurses and non-professional nursing personnel, monitoring work performance under RN supervision
• Observe patients for symptoms and reactions, including general physical and mental condition, noting signs of adverse change
• Assist with notifying the attending physician of emergencies and patient deaths in the unit
• Implement changes in physician orders as instructed
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Work as charge nurse and during emergencies as needed to ensure adequate coverage

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with Licensed Practical Nurse credential
• Current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing
• Proof of license renewal every other year
• CPR certification renewed yearly
• Ability to provide quality nursing care to patients and follow physician orders
• Genuine interest in geriatric nursing
• Willingness to work as charge nurse and during emergencies as needed
• Attendance at in-service training and staff meetings as required

Schedule

• Full-time position
• Night shift: 7pm-7am
• Every other weekend (EOW)

Compensation

• $7,500 sign-on bonus
