Licensed Practical Nurse- Homecare Nights

Maxim Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for night shift home care services in Anchorage. You will provide nursing care to pediatric and adult patients in their homes, working Sunday through Thursday on night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and services
• Initiate the plan of care when directed and request necessary revisions from the prescriber as patient status and needs change
• Incorporate therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals
• Intervene in response to changes in patient condition and report such changes to the appropriate physician or supervisor
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and monitor and document the effectiveness of interventions
• Review plan of care and program protocols to identify areas for healthcare teaching, care coordination, goal setting, and discharge planning needs

Required Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license for Alaska
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray
• Current BLS card

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of prior nursing experience

Schedule

• Sunday through Thursday nights

Compensation

• $32 to $36 per hour
