Willowcrest Health Services, part of North Shore Health's Upper Midwest post-acute care network, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our skilled nursing and rehabilitation community in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In this role, you will provide direct resident-centered care under the supervision of the RN Unit Manager or Director of Nursing, coordinating and implementing individualized plans of care while maintaining resident safety and supervising nursing assistant activities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform licensed nursing care and assume responsibility and accountability for assigned residents and patients during your shift
  • Coordinate, implement, and evaluate residents' and patients' plans of care
  • Adhere to standards of care for the area and manage the environment to maintain resident and patient safety
  • Supervise resident and patient care activities performed by nursing assistants
  • Use necessary supplies and equipment including feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, and medication carts
  • Calculate drug dosages accurately
  • Follow all center policies and procedures and perform duties as defined by the State Nurse Practice Act

Required Qualifications

  • Active Wisconsin LPN license
  • Current CPR certification
  • Ability to use necessary supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, medication cart, etc.)
  • Ability to calculate drug dosage
  • Meets all health requirements imposed by law
  • Ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and center staff
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Basic computer knowledge and ability with aptitude to learn company applications

Schedule and Employment Type

  • Full-time, part-time, and PRN/casual positions available
  • All shifts available depending on facility needs
  • Shift differentials offered for PM and NOC shifts

Compensation

  • Wages up to $43.75 per hour
