Licensed Practical Nurse - FT Nights

AVEM Health Partners is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for full-time night shifts. This position provides direct and indirect patient care services under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, meeting the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of patient care. This is a safety-sensitive position.

Responsibilities

• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment
• Assess patients' needs based on medical history, risk factors, and presenting complaints; classify the urgency of symptoms and notify appropriate personnel
• Collect patient samples including blood, urine, stool, and sputum; prepare samples for analysis or shipment
• Perform nursing care per qualifications based on the plan of care, following established policies, procedures, and protocols
• Actively participate in planning and implementation of patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse
• Delegate appropriately according to scope of practice and educational preparation, adhering to the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act and the 5 Rights of Delegation
• Administer medications according to facility policies and procedures
• Communicate with all members of the healthcare team
• Ensure required documentation is complete and compliant with regulations and standards
• Observe and report signs and symptoms and changes in patient condition to the physician and other appropriate health professionals
• Ensure all safety and infection control practices are followed
• Respond to emergency situations
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and organizational information
• Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice
• Foster a positive work environment
• Keep current in nursing trends and evidence-based practice; participate in required in-service programs

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved nursing program
• Current LPN license issued by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing
• Current BLS certification (or obtained within 30 days of hire)

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years of clinical experience
• Current ACLS certification

Physical Requirements

• Intact visual and auditory abilities to perform duties
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Constant standing and walking
• Frequent pushing, pulling, lifting, tugging, and reaching
• Physical strength and agility to position patients for a variety of examinations and procedures

Compensation

• $5,000 sign-on bonus
