Licensed Practical Nurse FT-30 hours (LPN)

Healogics, the largest provider of advanced wound care services in the United States, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Wound Care Center. In this full-time position working 30 hours per week, you will provide wound-related and basic nursing care to patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Provider. You will work in an outpatient clinic setting, supporting the care of chronic wound patients and contributing to quality outcomes across our network of over 600 sites.

Clinical Setting

You will work in a Wound Care Center providing outpatient wound care services. The role may include assisting in vein clinic and hyperbaric oxygen therapy as needed after completing required training.

Responsibilities

• Provide wound-related patient care according to Basic Life Support (BLS) and approved hospital protocols, policies, and procedures
• Assist with patient intake and discharge as assigned
• Gather patient information and necessary equipment and supplies for the RN or provider
• Assist with case management under the direction of the RN, in accordance with state regulations
• Report quality of care issues to the Clinical Nurse Manager
• Communicate with team members regarding therapeutic interventions to ensure quality of care
• Perform hyperbaric oxygen therapy related duties after completing required Healogics training
• May perform hyperbaric safety director duties after completing required training
• May function as a Documentation Assistant (scribe) in accordance with Healogics policy
• Perform other duties as delegated

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED)
• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program or state-approved educational program
• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of practice, maintained throughout employment
• Two or more years of experience as LPN/LVN, including one or more years in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or long-term acute care (LTACH) setting
• Demonstrated competency in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Working knowledge of computerized nursing systems
• Strong interpersonal, listening, and oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated organization, prioritization, and time-management skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work collaboratively with others and in a team environment
• Problem-solving skills
• Ability to remain calm in all situations
• Basic knowledge of regulatory and accrediting requirements for healthcare organizations
• Customer service and follow-up skills
