Licensed Practical Nurse ER LPN

Clinical Setting

HCA Florida Lake City Hospital is a 140+ bed acute care facility serving Columbia, Hamilton, and Suwannee counties. Our 24-hour emergency department is part of a comprehensive medical center offering cardiac care, interventional cardiology, orthopedics, cancer care, and imaging services. We are an Accredited Primary Stroke Center and Accredited Chest Pain Center with Disease Specific Certification in sepsis treatment.

Responsibilities

• Support emergency care by administering medications, assisting with procedures, monitoring conditions, and performing vital tests within your scope of practice
• Document patient assessments, observations, and interventions clearly to support seamless hand-offs and coordinated care
• Monitor patient conditions and respond quickly to changes to support timely treatment and patient safety
• Educate patients and families with compassion, explaining care and health information in a way that's easy to understand
• Work closely with nurses, providers, and the entire ER team to deliver responsive, patient-first care in a fast-moving setting

Required Qualifications

• Active LPN/LVN (Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse) license
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, to be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification, to be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification, to be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
