Licensed Practical Nurse

Bell Minor Home in Gainesville, Georgia is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for a day shift position providing direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care facility. This is an hourly role with differential pay of an additional $1.50 per hour for hours worked after 3PM.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents, including administering medication, wound care, and other treatments as ordered by the physician
• Supervise and direct the activities of nursing assistants and support personnel to ensure quality care
• Document and chart resident care, treatment, and progress in accordance with facility policies and procedures
• Assist in planning and implementing resident care plans and participate in quality assurance programs
• Collaborate with the medical team to ensure coordination of care and timely communication of resident needs
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or administrator

Required Qualifications

• Current state Licensed Practical Nurse license
• Excellent technical, assessment, and documentation skills
• Good leadership qualities
• Organized and detailed work performance
• Good communication skills with excellent self-discipline and patience
• Genuine caring for and interest in elderly and disabled people in a nursing facility
• Compliance with Residents' Rights and Facility Policies and Procedures
• Ability to perform work tasks within the physical demand requirements

Compensation

• $34 - $39 hourly
