Job Description

Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare is seeking a Lead Registered Nurse for Radiation Oncology to guide patients and families through their cancer treatment journey while serving as a clinical leader within the Radiation Oncology team.

Responsibilities

Coordinate patient care throughout radiation treatment
Perform nursing assessments and monitor patient progress
Educate patients and families regarding treatment and symptom management
Support treatment planning and care coordination activities
Serve as a clinical resource for staff and patients
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and oncology team members
Monitor and manage treatment-related side effects
Maintain accurate clinical documentation
Support quality, safety, and performance improvement initiatives
Promote compassionate and patient-centered care

Required Qualifications

Current RN licensure
Oncology or radiation oncology nursing knowledge
Strong communication and leadership skills
Clinical assessment and care coordination expertise
Commitment to patient-centered care

Preferred Qualifications

Oncology nursing experience
OCN certification
Leadership experience
Strong patient education skills

Education and Licensure

Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Current RN licensure
BLS certification
Oncology certification preferred

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
40 hours per week

Physical Requirements

Frequent standing, walking, and patient interaction
Ability to perform clinical nursing functions
Ability to respond to changing patient needs
