Lead Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiology

Inova Cardiology is seeking a Lead Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) to join the cardiology team in a full-time day shift position, Monday through Friday. This role combines direct patient care with clinical leadership responsibilities in an outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform full patient intakes
• Reconcile medications
• Provide patient education
• Serve as a clinical expert and team lead for all clinical staff in the outpatient environment
• Communicate effectively and work cooperatively with the interdisciplinary team
• Achieve desired patient outcomes using an integrated approach
• Assume responsibility for self-development in lifelong learning
• Provide direction and guidance to others regarding clinical practice
• Serve as a resource, preceptor, and mentor to the outpatient team

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• RN license in the Commonwealth of Virginia
• 3 years of registered nurse clinical experience
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous outpatient experience as a Registered Nurse
• Previous leadership, charge, or preceptor experience
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association

Schedule

• Full-time day shift, Monday through Friday
