IV Therapy/PICC Team RN

MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital is seeking a staff RN to join the IV Therapy/PICC Team. This hospital-based position offers the opportunity to utilize specialized training and knowledge in a multidisciplinary clinical setting at a 388-bed acute-care facility serving Puyallup and East Pierce County.

Clinical Setting

Good Samaritan Hospital is the area's only hospital and features a Family Birth Center, Level III Trauma and Neonatal ICUs, Level I Trauma Rehabilitation Center, Children's Therapy Unit, and a 24-hour Emergency Department. The facility includes innovative spaces such as the LEED Gold-certified Dally Tower and Pulse Heart Institute.

Responsibilities

• Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating on an ongoing basis
• Utilize nursing education and experience to deliver nursing care using the nursing process according to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols
• Collaborate with the nursing team to facilitate overall improvement in quality of care, patient experience, and cost reduction
• Foster a learning environment for patients, families, nursing staff, and members of the health care team
• Advocate for ethical and holistic care promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds

Schedule

• FTE: 0.5
• Shift: 3p-11p
• 8-hour shifts

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS)
• Current BLS Certification
• ACLS or NALS or PALS or TNCC or NRP certification, as required by facility or department

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN)
• Certification in specialty area
• One year of experience in acute care setting

Compensation and Benefits

The pay scale is $48.15 - $90.83 USD. Pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
