IV Infusion RN

NurseCore is seeking IV Infusion RNs to provide in-home infusion therapy services in the Rochester, NY area. This is a per diem position offering flexible scheduling with same-day pay and W2 employment status.

Clinical Setting

You will deliver infusion nursing care in patients' homes, infusion suites, and physician offices, serving patients with rare, chronic, and acute diseases requiring specialty pharmacy infusion therapies.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home infusions within the scope of practice defined by the New York Nurse Practice Act
• Administer and provide self-administration teaching for specialty pharmacy infusion therapies
• Access and maintain peripheral IV catheters (PIV), central venous access devices (PICC lines, midlines, implanted ports), and subcutaneous infusion sites (SCIG)
• Perform phlebotomy and maintain proper infection control measures
• Infuse IVIG, SCIG, Alpha 1 anti-trypsin products, Biologic Response Modifiers, and enzyme replacement products
• Administer and train patients on injectable medications in the home care setting
• Coordinate nursing care planning with the Director of Nursing
• Maintain and update patient plans of care, documenting health changes and incidents
• Demonstrate knowledge of age-specific physiological and developmental differences across patient populations
• Ensure safe, quality care while adhering to all policies, procedures, and standards
• Manage time, supplies, and productivity effectively
• Administer CPR and emergency procedures as necessary
• Travel within assigned geographic region and work alternate shifts on short notice
• Be available for on-call field visits as determined by business needs

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license through the New York State Board of Nursing
• Minimum two years of medical-surgical or critical care/ER experience
• Minimum one year of recent infusion nursing experience
• Current PPD (tuberculosis screening)
• Current CPR certification from a hands-on class

Preferred Qualifications

• IVIG and specialty infusion experience
• Home health nursing experience

Schedule and Employment

• Per diem, flexible scheduling
