The opportunity

Job Description

EPIC Health is seeking an Interventional/Diagnostic Radiologist for a full-time hybrid role in Southfield, Michigan. This position combines comprehensive diagnostic imaging interpretation with a broad range of interventional procedures in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.

Clinical Setting

You will work across multiple clinical settings including outpatient, procedural, and hospital-based environments, supporting patients across primary care, oncology, cardiology, and women's health specialties.

Responsibilities

Diagnostic Imaging

  • Interpret a wide range of imaging studies including X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound
  • Provide accurate, timely, and high-quality reads across outpatient and inpatient settings
  • Deliver clear, actionable reports and consultative insights to referring providers
  • Support clinical decision-making across multiple specialties

Interventional Procedures

  • Perform a full spectrum of interventional radiology procedures including vascular access, angiography, embolization, biopsies, ablations, drainages, and image-guided therapies
  • Provide minimally invasive treatment options that improve outcomes and reduce recovery times
  • Utilize imaging modalities to guide interventions with precision and safety

Collaborative Care

  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care
  • Consult directly with patients when appropriate to explain diagnostic findings, procedures, risks, and treatment options
  • Serve as a key clinical partner in both diagnosis and treatment planning

Quality and Compliance

  • Maintain strict adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards including ACR, CMS, CLIA, and HIPAA
  • Participate in quality assurance and peer review initiatives
  • Contribute to the expansion of diagnostic imaging services and interventional radiology programs

Education

  • MD or DO with training in Diagnostic Radiology
  • Fellowship training in Interventional Radiology is preferred

Licenses and Certifications

  • Active and unrestricted Michigan medical license, or eligibility to obtain
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiology (IR/DR certification preferred)

Experience

  • Preferred: 2 or more years of experience in a hybrid IR/DR role
  • Strong new graduates will be considered
  • Demonstrated proficiency in both diagnostic interpretation and interventional procedures
  • Comfortable working across a mix of clinical settings

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and procedural skillset with high attention to detail
  • Ability to balance diagnostic workload with procedural responsibilities
  • Excellent communication skills for both provider collaboration and patient interaction
  • Experience using PACS, RIS, and EHR systems

Compensation and Benefits

  • Compensation: $450,000 to $700,000+ depending on licensure and experience
