The Department of Radiology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) in Omaha, Nebraska is recruiting a board-certified interventional radiologist to join our faculty. This is a 100% interventional radiology position based at the university campus with support for several satellite locations through our hospital partner, Nebraska Medicine.
The division performs approximately 8,000 procedures per year and offers a full spectrum of liver-directed therapies. UNMC has transplant services for all transplant organs, providing a comprehensive clinical environment for interventional procedures.
This position is located in Omaha, Nebraska at an academic medical center. You will work in both office and clinical environments with exposure to blood and body fluids, atmospheric conditions, and moving x-ray equipment. Personal protective equipment is required. Physical demands include 2-5 hours of bending, stooping, and twisting; 2-5 hours of sitting; 2-5 hours of standing; up to 2 hours of walking; and occasional kneeling, reaching, and squatting. Fine manipulation and repetitive motion are required for keyboarding and handwriting.
Work schedule includes days, nights, weekends, and on-call duties as needed.
Fellowship or additional training in Interventional Radiology is required.
This is an academic faculty position. The appointment type and rank are determined based on qualifications (DOQ). Full-time equivalent (FTE) status is to be determined. Salary is commensurate with experience. The position begins October 2, 2026.
