Interventional Radiologist

Posterity Group LLC, a veteran-owned, service-disabled small business, is seeking an Interventional Radiologist to provide onsite services at the Syracuse VA Medical Center. This is a full-time position requiring an interventional radiology physician to deliver clinical services, perform procedures, and provide consultation and education to the medical staff.

Clinical Setting

You will work at the Syracuse VA Medical Center, a federal government healthcare facility serving veteran patients. The role involves interventional radiology procedures, imaging interpretation, and clinical consultation.

Responsibilities

• Perform interventional radiology procedures and provide timely interpretation and communication of imaging results
• Enter imaging results into the digital medical record and provide verbal notification of critical findings
• Provide consultation services, comparative reports, and participate in clinical conferences and committees as requested by referring physicians
• Ensure overall safety of imaging patients, including oversight of contrast administration and response to adverse patient reactions
• Review imaging requests and ensure appropriate imaging protocols, preparations, and medications have been ordered
• Assist, train, supervise, and mentor radiology residents in the performance of procedures and interpretation of studies
• Provide education and training to members of the medical staff through conferences, committees, and lecture series
• Participate in quality control and quality management activities, including department and hospital-level peer reviews
• May be assigned administrative or managerial responsibilities through participation in clinical, educational, and administrative committees, task groups, or special projects
• Possess sufficient computer skills to work with advanced PACS and voice recognition systems

Schedule

• Full-time position: 1.0 FTE (2,080 hours per year)
• Monday through Friday: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm onsite
• On-call availability required during WHE hours (Weekends, Holidays, and Evenings): 4:30 pm to 12:00 am on weekdays, and 8:00 am to 8:00 pm on weekends and holidays
• At least four credentialed candidates must be readily available to provide services

Required Qualifications

• Valid BLS certification
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent degree from osteopathic medicine (DO) obtained from a school approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed
• Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or the District of Columbia
• Completed residency training approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification

Compensation

• Salary range: $340,000 to $500,000 annually
