Interventional Radiologist Physician

Terrestris seeks an Interventional Radiologist Physician to provide clinical services to the Veteran community at a VA medical facility in Syracuse, NY. This position is open to locum and traveling professionals.

You will provide on-site clinical and on-call coverage for interventional radiology procedures approximately 95% of the time. Procedures include angiography, balloon angioplasty and stent placement, biliary intervention, CT-guided and ultrasound-guided biopsies, central line insertion and assessment, chemoembolization, dialysis access interventions, drain and tube insertions and exchanges, embolization, joint injections, IVC filters, lumbar puncture, myelograms, paracentesis, radiologically inserted gastrostomy, thoracentesis, and vertebroplasty. Administrative duties comprise an estimated 5-10% of time.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
• Rotating call and holiday coverage

Required Qualifications

• Authorization to work in the U.S. permanently, without sponsorship
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent degree from an accredited allopathic or osteopathic medical school
• Current license to practice medicine in New York State
• Board Certification by the American Board of Radiology
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with the VA

Compensation and Employment

• Pay: $250+ per hour
• Contract Type: 1 base year with four 1-year option periods
• Location: 800 Irving Avenue, Syracuse, NY
