Interventional Radiologist

MedStar Medical Group – Radiology is seeking an Interventional Radiologist to join the MedStar Interventional Radiology practice at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center in Clinton, Maryland. This is a 100% interventional position supporting a full-service acute care hospital serving Prince George's County and surrounding communities. You will perform a broad range of interventional radiology procedures and work alongside a multidisciplinary team of physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical staff to provide high-quality, patient-centered care.

Clinical Setting

The primary practice location is MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center. This position includes occasional cross coverage at MedStar Montgomery Medical Center approximately once every other month. You will be part of the larger MedStar Interventional Radiology practice, which includes multiple hospitals throughout Maryland and Washington, D.C., including MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and MedStar Washington Hospital Center.

Professional Development

Providers benefit from regular system-wide conferences, collaborative quality initiatives, and opportunities to participate in practice development across the health system. The MedStar Health System has a dedicated research institute that provides support for research contracting, study design, and biostatistics. The Department of Radiology also has dedicated resources available to support section research initiatives. Successful candidates may be considered for faculty appointments at Georgetown University School of Medicine, with academic rank commensurate with experience.

Required Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Radiology (ABR)
• Eligible for medical licensure in Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Virginia
• Strong clinical skills, commitment to patient care, and excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Fellowship training in interventional radiology
• Experience as an established interventional radiologist
