Interventional Radiologist - Jefferson Radiology

Jefferson Radiology is seeking full-time Interventional Radiologists to support its Connecticut practice. Two distinct opportunities are available: a primary position at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut, and a community-based position at Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam, Connecticut. Both roles offer the chance to perform advanced interventional procedures in collaborative, physician-led environments with strong compensation and partnership pathways.

Clinical Setting

Hartford Hospital is a high-acuity tertiary-care facility offering opportunities to perform a broad range of advanced interventional procedures, participate in multidisciplinary conferences and tumor boards, and engage with Jefferson Radiology's onsite residency program.

Day Kimball Hospital is a 104-bed acute-care community hospital serving Northeast Connecticut, offering a close-knit community setting with comprehensive medical services.

Responsibilities

Hartford Hospital Position (80% Interventional Radiology, 20% Diagnostic Radiology):

• Perform advanced interventional procedures including angiography, embolization, vascular interventions, GI and GU interventions, ablations, venous access, biopsies, drainages, and additional image-guided procedures
• Provide Level I trauma coverage
• Participate in teaching and academic engagement through the onsite residency program
• Participate in multidisciplinary conferences and tumor boards
• Earn CME credits

Day Kimball Hospital Position:

• Perform community-based interventional procedures including PICC lines, paracentesis, thoracentesis, superficial and deep biopsies, lumbar punctures, myelograms, arthrograms, and abscess drainage
• Provide fluoroscopy coverage
• Provide mammography coverage as preferred

Schedule

Hartford Hospital Position:

• Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM onsite
• Favorable call schedule

Day Kimball Hospital Position:

• Monday through Friday daytime schedule
• Weekend call
• Flexible scheduling and remote diagnostic reading opportunities available

Compensation and Bonuses

Hartford Hospital Position:

• Base salary: $650,000
• Productivity incentives up to $1,000,000 annually
• Commencement and/or retention bonuses up to $100,000 collectively

Day Kimball Hospital Position:

• Base salary: $625,000
• Productivity incentives up to $1,000,000 annually
• Commencement and/or retention bonuses up to $100,000 collectively

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Graduate of an ACGME-accredited Radiology residency program
• Graduate of an ACGME-accredited Interventional Radiology fellowship program
• ABR or ABOR board-certified or board-eligible
• ACLS certification required
• Connecticut medical license required
• 3 or more years of attending experience preferred, but willing to consider new graduates

Preferred Qualifications

• Level I trauma coverage experience
• Vein Center experience (Hartford position)
• Fluoroscopy and mammography coverage experience (Day Kimball position)
