Interventional Radiologist (IR/DX) – Garnet Health | Flexible Partnership or On-Call Opportunities

Empire State Radiology, an affiliate of Radiology Partners, is seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Interventional Radiologist to join its growing practice serving Garnet Health in Middletown, New York. This position offers a blend of high-volume procedural interventional radiology and diagnostic imaging responsibilities within a collaborative, physician-led environment. The role is designed for candidates seeking either a traditional partnership-track position or a flexible schedule with additional call and moonlighting opportunities.

Clinical Setting

Garnet Health Medical Center's Interventional Radiology service line provides a strong procedural platform supported by board-certified interventional radiologists, advanced imaging resources, and a collaborative clinical environment. The practice includes more than 50 subspecialty-trained radiologists and is committed to quality, physician development, and a supportive, collegial culture. The facility offers broad image-guided procedural capabilities, including treatment for vascular, oncologic, biliary, urologic, and other complex conditions, with secure PACS access and efficient image availability to support timely diagnosis and streamlined collaboration with referring clinicians.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced interventional radiology services on full-time or PRN on-call schedules
• Support a high-volume IR service line with a broad mix of image-guided procedures and consultative clinical needs
• Perform and support procedures including angiography, embolization, ablation, vascular access, drainage procedures, biopsies, paracentesis, thoracentesis, lumbar punctures, myelograms, and GI/GU interventions
• Collaborate with experienced technologists, referring clinicians, and hospital teams to deliver timely, patient-centered care
• Leverage modern imaging equipment, procedural resources, and strong clinical infrastructure to support an efficient call workflow
• Maintain diagnostic reading skills across multiple imaging modalities

Required Qualifications

• Completion of Diagnostic Radiology residency training from an ACGME-accredited U.S. training program
• Board eligible or board certified by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology (ABOR)
• Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Interventional Radiology
• Active New York medical license or ability to obtain licensure in the state of New York

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation for this position ranges from shift rates to an annual salary of $500,000–$525,000, with final determinations varying based on education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location. This role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
