Interventional Radiologist

Ellis Medicine is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiologist to join the Radiology team in Schenectady, New York. This is an on-site, full-time position offering the option of a four-day work week schedule. You will provide comprehensive image-guided procedural care for both outpatient and emergent patients, working collaboratively with vascular surgery and other clinical services.

The position offers the opportunity to practice within a community-based health system while managing a diverse range of clinical cases. Clinical Setting

Ellis Medicine's IR program handles approximately 15-16 procedures per day across the service, with both outpatient and emergent cases. The department features dedicated IR procedural space, five ultrasound procedure bays, Fuji Synapse PACS, and Cerner EMR.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive image-guided procedural care for outpatient and emergent patients
• Perform CT-guided biopsies and procedures
• Perform CT-guided chest tube placement
• Perform fistulograms and declot procedures
• Perform IVC filter placement and retrieval
• Perform embolization procedures
• Perform abscess drainage
• Perform nephrostomy tube placement and management
• Perform cholecystostomy drainage
• Perform angiography
• Perform image-guided ablation procedures
• Perform vascular access procedures
• Perform other image-guided procedures based on physician expertise and department needs
• Collaborate with vascular surgery and referring physicians
• Evaluate and manage patients before and after procedures

Required Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Radiology
• Licensed or eligible to practice in New York State
• Experience with a broad range of interventional procedures
• Strong clinical judgment and procedural skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with vascular surgery, radiology, and multidisciplinary clinical teams
• Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care

Schedule

• Full-time position with the option of a four-day work week model
• Combination of outpatient and acute IR cases

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive guaranteed base salary for 2 years: $700,000-$800,000 with the ability to earn more through productivity bonuses
