The opportunity

Job Description

Appalachian Regional Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Interventional Radiologist to join the radiology team in Hazard, Kentucky. This position offers the opportunity to perform a wide range of image-guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within a supportive, integrated health system serving Central Appalachia.

Clinical Setting

You will work within a large regional health system operating 14 hospitals and over 80 clinics across Eastern Kentucky and Southern West Virginia. The role is based in Hazard, Kentucky, and involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care using advanced imaging technology.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diverse interventional radiology procedures including vascular and non-vascular interventions
  • Interpret diagnostic imaging studies and provide consultative services
  • Work closely with referring physicians across specialties to coordinate comprehensive care
  • Participate in quality assurance, safety initiatives, and continuing education

Required Qualifications

  • Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology with fellowship training in Interventional Radiology
  • Skilled in performing a broad range of minimally invasive image-guided procedures
