Inpatient Medical (Hospitalist)- Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant- Piedmont Atlanta

Piedmont Healthcare is recruiting a full-time Inpatient Medical Advanced Practitioner (PA/NP) to work with multiple physicians on the Atlanta campus in Buckhead. This position offers no call responsibilities and 10-hour variable shifts.

Clinical Setting

You will work in an inpatient medical environment, providing care to patients with serious medical conditions, illnesses, and injuries.

Responsibilities

• Examine, evaluate, and treat patients with serious medical conditions, illness, or injuries
• Take patient histories and conduct physical examinations
• Record data in patients' medical records
• Write progress notes and prepare patient work-ups and summaries noting pertinent positive and negative findings
• Develop plans of care that minimize complications and troubleshoot problems when they arise
• Apply preventative and alternative treatment strategies for possible procedural complications

Required Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited PA program with National Board Certification, OR
• Licensed as a Nurse and approved to practice as an NP by the State of Georgia with National Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of inpatient medical/IMS experience with a high degree of clinical judgment
