Metro Infusion Center, affiliated with Metro Infectious Disease Consultants, is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner to provide supervision and administration of infusion therapy on a PRN basis at the clinic located in Evans, GA. This position offers flexibility, work/life balance, and a casual environment within a large practice with continued growth.
Clinical Setting
You will work in an outpatient infusion center providing care to patients requiring IV therapy, including those who are immunocompromised.
Responsibilities
- Place and maintain peripheral IV catheters for infusion therapy with ongoing assessment of IV site integrity
- Prepare medications for IV administration as ordered
- Administer IV therapy via electronic pump, troubleshoot pump alarms, and administer therapy via gravity or dial-a-flow tubing
- Document infusion charting and patient messages in the EMR system
- Address patient questions and concerns related to adverse effects, side effects, diagnosis, and treatment within the scope of mid-level provider practice
- Use clinical judgment to evaluate patient care needs and establish priorities
- Monitor the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment
- Participate in activities that facilitate good interpersonal communication with facility staff
- Cover other clinic locations as directed by the Manager of Clinical Operations
- Support professional practice by adhering to Standards of Nursing Practice, JCAHO standards, state and local laws, and MIDC policy
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) credential
- Nurse Practitioner experience, preferably in an infusion-related setting
- Infusion therapy experience
- Proof of current vaccinations, including recommended boosters: measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis A and B, influenza, and COVID-19
Preferred Qualifications
- Chemotherapy administration experience
Schedule and Compensation
- PRN (as-needed) basis with flexible scheduling
- $80 per hour with a guarantee of 4 hours minimum per shift
