Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Bristol Hospice is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals and families during end-of-life care. This is a Monday through Friday position based in Honolulu, HI, working 8am to 5pm.

Clinical Setting

You will work in patients' homes, providing hospice care and supporting families during critical moments. The role requires you to adapt to different home environments and work independently while maintaining communication with the interdisciplinary care team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene
• Support mobility, transfers, and range-of-motion exercises
• Monitor and document vital signs and report changes to the care team
• Provide comfort care and help prevent skin breakdown
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed
• Provide medication reminders in accordance with regulations
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment
• Communicate patient updates promptly to the care team
• Offer emotional support to patients and families
• Provide respite support for caregivers

Required Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• Minimum of 75 hours of CNA training
• Current CPR certification
• Valid driver's license and reliable, insured vehicle
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of experience in hospice, home health, or acute care

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm
• Territory: Honolulu, HI

Compensation

• $25 to $26 per hour
• Monthly bonus eligibility
