Home Health Nurse Supervisor PRN

A growing private duty home health care agency is seeking an RN licensed in Florida to supervise client care and home health aide performance across the Port Charlotte, Fort Myers, and Naples area. This PRN position involves attending new client assessments, developing individualized care plans, and overseeing the work of certified nursing assistants and home health aides. You will help management determine aide assignments based on staff qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and document comprehensive nursing assessments
• Review medications and maintain current client medication lists
• Develop and implement individualized care plans for clients and families, with goals focused on helping clients reach the highest possible level of independence
• Supervise and train certified nursing assistants and home health aides
• Assist upper management with aide assignments based on experience and qualifications
• Work collaboratively on an interdisciplinary team
• Consult with attending physicians and interdisciplinary team members to establish plans of care
• Oversee and investigate client and physician concerns and risk management issues, implementing necessary changes and training
• Perform recurring 60-day supervisory visits with home health aides to ensure staff competency
• Assist in reviewing, revising, and providing team education regarding the Emergency Management program
• Assist with home health aide new hire orientations

Required Qualifications

• Active RN (Registered Nurse) license in Florida
• State of Florida active driver's license and auto insurance
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• One year of supervisory experience in a home health care agency

Schedule

• PRN (Part-Time), estimated 10-30 hours per week
• Mainly daytime hours, but some evenings required
• Weekends as needed
• Work location: On the road in the Port Charlotte, Fort Myers, and Naples area

Compensation and Benefits

• $50.00 per hour
