Aveanna is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide skilled nursing care to patients in their homes throughout North Miami Dade County. This is a PRN (as-needed) position where you will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse teammate, delivering quality patient care in accordance with physician orders and individualized care plans.
Responsibilities
- Deliver quality patient care in compliance with physician orders under the direction of an RN teammate
- Perform hands-on client care including documentation and timely communication with the patient's physician and other caregivers
- Recognize changes in patient needs and responses requiring intervention, implementing care to prevent or reduce risk
- Educate clients and family members based on specific patient needs
- Provide care in patients' homes using a variety of clinical skills including phone triage, patient education, observation and assessment, wound care, infusions, catheter care, and PICC line dressing changes
Clinical Setting
This position involves visiting patients in their homes throughout North Miami Dade County.
Required Qualifications
- Active LPN license in the state of application
- Valid CPR certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Medicare Skilled Nursing experience
- Basic understanding of OASIS
- One year of LPN experience in a home health or healthcare setting
- Home Care Home Base experience
