Home Health Licensed Practical Nurse- Boise (54996)

This position delivers nursing care to a group of residents in a nursing unit within a long-term care setting. You will assess resident needs, develop individual care plans, administer nursing care, and supervise Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and other personnel in the delivery of nursing care.

Responsibilities

• Assess resident needs and develop individual care plans
• Administer nursing care to assigned residents
• Supervise CNA activities and other personnel in nursing care delivery
• Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary care team
• Make independent clinical decisions when circumstances warrant

Required Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Idaho
• Clinical assessment skills at the level necessary to meet job requirements
• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care
• Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work with an interdisciplinary care team
• Basic understanding of computer technology, including email use
• Proven written and oral communication skills
• Proven decision-making and analytical skills
• Ability to relate positively, favorably, and cooperatively with employees, residents, family members, and personnel of outside agencies and organizations
• Positive attitude and desire to work with the aging population
