Job Description

AMG Specialty Hospital is a privately held Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) facility in Crown Point, Indiana, seeking a Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurse for the night shift. This position focuses on delivering high-acuity nursing care to patients requiring extended ICU stays, ventilator support, vasopressors, or advanced wound management in a specialized clinical environment.

Clinical Setting

AMG Specialty Hospital is a boutique specialty hospital with a high staff-to-patient ratio that ensures individualized attention. The facility serves patients transitioning from traditional ICUs who require complex, extended care in a focused, close-knit clinical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver advanced practical nursing care for high-acuity patients, including ventilator monitoring, complex treatments, and advanced wound management under RN supervision
  • Administer medications and implement care interventions for patients transitioning from traditional ICUs
  • Collaborate closely with RNs, physicians, respiratory therapists, and leadership to drive positive patient outcomes

Schedule

  • Full-time, nights

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing
  • Active, unencumbered Indiana Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Strong organizational abilities
  • Fluent in verbal and written English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior nursing experience in a high-acuity setting such as acute care, step-down, or high-acuity LTAC
  • Self-motivated clinician with demonstrated engagement

Compensation and Benefits

  • Sign-on bonus of $7,500 or tuition reimbursement for full-time LPN (requires 2-year minimum commitment per Employment Assistance Agreement)
