Masonic Villages of Pennsylvania is hiring Graduate Licensed Practical Nurses (GPN) to provide care for geriatric residents at the Elizabethtown Campus. In this role, you will serve as Charge Nurse for an assigned resident care unit, providing clinical leadership and directing nursing assistants in delivering compassionate, timely care.
Clinical Setting
You will work in a long-term care environment serving geriatric residents at a campus of Masonic Villages, a healthcare organization with over 145 years of experience providing care across Pennsylvania.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Charge Nurse for assigned resident care unit, ensuring continuous clinical leadership
- Direct CNAs and RCAs regarding resident care
- Notify families, physicians, and departments of residents' needs
- Collect and accurately document resident data and condition
- Document all care provided, including wound documentation, medication administration records (MARS), treatment administration records (TARS), and other assigned paperwork
- Perform clinical testing such as glucometer and pulse oximetry as necessary
- Administer ordered medications as approved and provide treatments, including monitoring of IV fluid
- Monitor effectiveness of medications and treatments
- Assist in completion of 24-hour change of condition roster
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Must have or have applied for a temporary LPN practice permit for the state of Pennsylvania
Schedule and Shifts
- Full-time or part-time positions available
- Days or evening shifts
Compensation and Shift Premiums
- Starting pay: $24.40 per hour
- Evening shift premium: $3.50 per hour
- Night shift premium: $2.50 per hour
- Weekend shift differential: additional $1.00 per hour
