The opportunity

Job Description

This part-time position supports the delivery of gastrointestinal endoscopic procedures at KH Troy on a day shift schedule. As a GI Tech, you will prepare equipment, assist clinical staff, and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout endoscopic procedures. You will play a key role in maintaining infection control standards and operational reliability within the endoscopy suite.

Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or must obtain within 90 days of hire
  • Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a healthcare or patient care setting
  • Completion of a formal training program in endoscopy technology, sterile processing, or a related healthcare field
  • One year of experience in endoscopy, central sterile processing, or direct patient care
  • Certification as a GI Technical Specialist (GTS) through the Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (SGNA) or equivalent
