FNP-BC - Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (Full/part time, evening)

FamilyCare Health Centers is hiring a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to provide primary care services at our Cross Lanes site. This position offers flexible scheduling with evening and weekend hours, available as full-time or part-time.

You will deliver comprehensive primary health care to pediatric patients from infancy through adolescence, including diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illness, preventive care, and well-child services. This role requires managing patients and conditions within the scope of your training as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive primary health care services
• Perform comprehensive physical exams and age-appropriate screening procedures
• Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic and laboratory tests
• Perform waived and microscopy laboratory testing as indicated
• Formulate diagnoses and develop treatment plans
• Order and/or administer pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions
• Facilitate patient education and participation in self-care
• Implement systematic follow-up and evaluation of patient status
• Complete all appropriate documentation in a timely manner according to FamilyCare policy
• Consult with, collaborate with, or refer to other medical providers as appropriate
• Share after-hours telephone coverage with other FamilyCare providers
• Participate in research, educational activities, and teaching of students if interested
• Attend clinical and staff meetings
• Perform administrative duties as assigned
• Observe all health and safety requirements
• Participate in continuous quality improvement activities
• Perform work in a cost-effective manner

Required Qualifications

• Registered nurse with valid West Virginia license
• Recognition by the WV Board of Examiners for Registered Nurses as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
• Prescriptive Authority through the WV Board of Examiners for Registered Nurses, if eligible
