Float Pool - Registered Nurse 4

Join Women & Children's Hospital as a Float Pool Registered Nurse 4, a full-time position offering the opportunity to work across multiple units while demonstrating advanced clinical expertise. In this role, you will provide complex patient care, mentor nursing staff, lead quality improvement initiatives, and contribute to evidence-based practice changes.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate consistent application of the nursing process while managing complex patients
• Provide developmentally appropriate assessment, treatment, and care for assigned patient populations
• Identify personal and staff learning needs and develop corrective action plans
• Maintain proficiency in clinical skills and promote teaching and learning processes
• Facilitate interdisciplinary problem-solving and monitor practice issues affecting finances
• Participate in nursing research studies or research utilization projects to improve practice
• Proactively identify potential legal and ethical issues and implement preventive strategies
• Maintain and document all required continuing education
• Demonstrate positive customer service and professional relationships with colleagues
• Perform work in a cost-effective manner and comply with departmental scheduling policies
• Perform related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum one year of RN experience
• Associate's Degree in Nursing or completion of a formal nursing program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Schedule

• Full-time regular position (1.0 FTE)
• Varies by unit assignment
• Subject to overtime, various shift work, and on-call situations per departmental scheduling policies
