Family Nurse Practitioner – School-Based | No Call

Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is hiring a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) for a school-based outpatient position in Stuart, Virginia. This role offers independent practice with medical director oversight, serving elementary, middle, and high school students as well as school system staff. The position combines clinical autonomy with predictable weekday hours and no call responsibilities.

Clinical Setting

You will provide direct medical care within a school-based clinic serving a diverse patient population including elementary, middle, and high school students and school system staff. This is an acute-care-focused outpatient setting where you will practice independently with oversight and support from a Medical Director.

Responsibilities

• Provide school-based outpatient medical care
• Independently evaluate and treat acute medical conditions
• Assess and manage patients with clinical autonomy
• Provide direct hands-on patient care to pediatric and adolescent populations
• Perform minor procedures, including suturing
• Coordinate with the Medical Director as appropriate
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation
• Provide patient and family education
• Support community-based healthcare delivery

Required Qualifications

• Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
• Active Virginia FNP license
• Active DEA registration
• Ability to practice independently
• Experience and comfort caring for pediatric and adolescent populations
• Ability to provide acute outpatient care
• Confidence performing minor procedures, including suturing
• Ability to work Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Commitment to community-based patient care

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• No call responsibilities
• Predictable weekday schedule

Compensation and Benefits

• $54 to $68 per hour, based on experience
