The opportunity

Job Description

Marathon Health is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for our Pensacola, Florida location. In this role, you will practice relationship-based primary care with a focus on prevention, wellness, acute care management, and chronic disease management. You will have autonomy to practice at the top of your license with a patient-centered approach.

Clinical Setting

Marathon Health operates a value-based primary care model with onsite, nearsite, network, and virtual care options. You will work in an environment designed to support quality care delivery rather than production volume.

Responsibilities

  • Provide wholistic primary care including prevention, chronic disease management, and health education
  • Manage routine wellness visits, chronic care management, and urgent visits
  • Practice autonomously with access to clinical resources including UpToDate and RubiconMD
  • Participate in ongoing learning through journal clubs and grand rounds

Work Environment

This position emphasizes work-life balance with smaller patient panel sizes and appointment times ranging from 20 to 60 minutes. Success is measured by health outcomes rather than patient volume or billing metrics. Administrative and insurance-related tasks are minimized.

Required Qualifications for Nurse Practitioner

  • Active state license

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range: $120,000 - $160,000 per year (varies based on geographic location, years of experience, and skill level)
