Nao Medical is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner to join our clinical team at a federally designated Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA) site with active National Health Service Corps (NHSC) site credentials. This position offers clinicians direct access to apply for tax-free student loan repayment options through active federal service cycles.
Clinical Setting
This outpatient primary care and urgent care role serves diverse communities, including patients covered by Medicaid, Medicare, commercial insurance, self-pay arrangements, and sliding fee scale programs. You will work with a dynamic patient mix combining preventive care and acute visits, supported by a team-based clinical environment with dedicated medical assistants, front desk staff, and mid-office support.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care and urgent care clinical services, evaluating and managing acute and chronic conditions
- Conduct physical exams, screenings, preventive care, and appropriate diagnostic workups
- Document clinical care accurately and promptly within the electronic medical record
- Coordinate with care teams, medical assistants, front desk staff, and referral partners within the comprehensive system of care
- Support access to care for diverse patient populations while adhering to clinical, compliance, and patient-experience standards
- Maintain required licensure, DEA registration, credentialing, and payer enrollment
Required Qualifications
- Active New York State Nurse Practitioner license
- Master's degree in Nursing or related field
- NCCPA certification
- Electronic medical record (EMR) experience
- Strong HIPAA knowledge
- DEA registration or willingness to obtain
- FMCSA certification or willingness to obtain within 3 months
Preferred Qualifications
- One or more years of primary care or urgent care experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency

Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive base salary: $125,000 to $188,000 per year (commensurate with experience and schedule structure)
