Family Nurse Practitioner FNP Walk-In Clinic

Clinical Setting

The Elkhart Clinic is a walk-in clinic located in Elkhart, Indiana, serving individuals and families across the community. The clinic features on-site lab and X-ray capabilities, occupational health services, allergy treatments, and IV therapy.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat common acute, non-life-threatening illnesses such as respiratory infections, flu, strep throat, urinary tract infections, and skin infections
• Perform minor procedures including suturing and laceration repair, incision and drainage, splinting, and foreign body removal
• Conduct physical examinations including school and sports physicals, DOT physicals, and pre-employment screenings
• Interpret basic diagnostic tests, point-of-care lab work, and on-site X-rays
• Educate patients on preventative care, wellness, and treatment plans
• Collaborate with clinical support staff and medical directors

Schedule

• Monday through Thursday: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited institution
• Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C or FNP-BC) via AANP or ANCC
• Active, unencumbered Family Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Indiana
• Active Indiana Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) and Federal DEA license
• Current BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

• One or more years of experience in urgent care, walk-in clinics, emergency medicine, or family practice
• DOT Certified Examiner credential
• Motivated new graduates with strong clinical rotations are welcome to apply
