Join the Elkhart Clinic as a Family Nurse Practitioner in our state-of-the-art walk-in clinic, where you will provide fast, comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages in a supportive, team-oriented environment. This full-time or part-time position offers predictable clinic hours with no overnight call, allowing you to maintain excellent work-life balance while delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
Clinical Setting
The Elkhart Clinic is a walk-in clinic located in Elkhart, Indiana, serving individuals and families across the community. The clinic features on-site lab and X-ray capabilities, occupational health services, allergy treatments, and IV therapy.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat common acute, non-life-threatening illnesses such as respiratory infections, flu, strep throat, urinary tract infections, and skin infections
- Perform minor procedures including suturing and laceration repair, incision and drainage, splinting, and foreign body removal
- Conduct physical examinations including school and sports physicals, DOT physicals, and pre-employment screenings
- Interpret basic diagnostic tests, point-of-care lab work, and on-site X-rays
- Educate patients on preventative care, wellness, and treatment plans
- Collaborate with clinical support staff and medical directors
Schedule
- Monday through Thursday: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited institution
- Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C or FNP-BC) via AANP or ANCC
- Active, unencumbered Family Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Indiana
- Active Indiana Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) and Federal DEA license
- Current BLS certification
Preferred Qualifications
- One or more years of experience in urgent care, walk-in clinics, emergency medicine, or family practice
- DOT Certified Examiner credential
