Nao Medical, a multi-specialty healthcare network serving over a million New Yorkers, is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) for its Long Island City, Queens clinic. In this role, you will provide full-scope family medicine care to a dynamic mix of preventive and acute patients across the lifespan. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnose and build evidence-based treatment plans for acute and chronic conditions, order and interpret labs and imaging, refer to specialists when needed, and educate patients on diagnoses, medications, and prevention.

Clinical Setting

You will work in a modern clinic environment with AI-powered documentation tools that significantly reduce charting time, allowing your focus to remain on patient care. The clinic uses an electronic medical record (EMR) system with AI copilots for documentation, clinical decision support, and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and build evidence-based treatment plans for acute and chronic conditions
  • Order and interpret laboratory tests and imaging studies
  • Refer patients to specialists when clinically indicated
  • Educate patients on diagnoses, medications, and prevention strategies
  • Deliver attentive, patient-centered care and maintain clinic flow to reduce wait times
  • Run telemedicine visits as part of the clinic schedule
  • Partner with medical assistants, scribes, and aftercare teams to optimize patient experience
  • Document encounters in the EMR and utilize AI copilots for clinical documentation and decision support
  • Work collaboratively with physicians and clinical staff
  • Mentor interns and students when appropriate
  • Contribute ideas to improve clinic efficiency and operations
  • Participate in monthly provider syncs and one-on-one meetings
  • Complete ongoing training and remain flexible across multiple schedule options

Required Qualifications

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) specialization
  • Active New York State Nurse Practitioner license
  • Board certification from AANP or ANCC (FNP)
  • Electronic medical record (EMR) experience
  • Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations
  • FMCSA certification or willingness to obtain within 3 months

Preferred Qualifications

  • One or more years of experience in primary care or urgent care
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
  • DEA certification or willingness to obtain
  • CDL (Commercial Driver's License) or willingness to obtain

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $125,000 to $188,000 (depending on experience and schedule)
  • Sign-On Bonus: Up to $5,000 (based on experience)
  • Performance Bonus: Up to $45,000 annual incentive potential, paid quarterly
